At Baltic Sea Glass, product development is an ongoing journey — and inspiration sometimes comes from the most unexpected places: our customers’ spontaneous ideas and wishes. That’s exactly how the beloved ‘Herringbone’ drinking glasses, previously only available in clear glass, are now being offered in twelve beautiful colors — so you can choose exactly the shade that fits your home.
Owner Michael Brandt explains:
– We had some friends visiting the glass studio, and their summer house is full of yellow accents — the wife absolutely loves everything yellow. They also really liked our glasses. So I said: why don’t we try making some in yellow? And we did, right there on the spot. We picked out a few yellow tones, and they stood next to our glassblowers watching their own glasses come to life – and they were absolutely thrilled with how beautiful they turned out.
– It was such a fun and positive moment that we decided to launch a Special Edition with twelve vibrant colors to choose from. All you need is a minimum order of six glasses, and we’ll handcraft them for you. Each glass is signed with the date it was made, and you even have the option to have your initials engraved. Finally, we include a certificate with the exact color code, so if you ever want to reorder or expand your set, you’ll always get the perfect match, Michael adds.
