Experience the magic of glassblowing – live!

Baltic Sea Glass invites you to join an exclusive UNIKA event, where the studio’s talented glassblowers create unique glass art – right before your eyes. Doors open at 5:30 PM, and you can experience the entire fascinating process up close, as a glowing mass of molten glass at 1,150°C slowly is transformed into a beautiful, finished vase or bowl.

Nature is the inspiration behind every UNIKA piece. Creating these unique works is an intense and highly coordinated process, with typically three glassblowers (sometimes four) working together to shape each piece. Watch the craftsmanship unfold – and talk to the glassblowers about the ideas, inspiration, and techniques behind their work.

The evening begins with the creation of one unique piece, followed by a short break with a little sparkling wine and snacks. Then, the glassblowers return to the furnaces to create another one-of-a-kind work of art. You are also welcome to browse and shop in the gallery throughout the evening.

The events take place on these following days:
Monday August 24th, Friday August 28th and Wednesday September 9th.

NB: if you cannot join us today, you can visit the workshop throughout the season. The glassblowers usually work Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM. (The gallery is open 10 AM to 5 PM).
